About Us

Al-Ma’arif Educational Trust (MET) was established in the year 1996 and registered under the Trust Act of India. The Registered Office of the Trust is based in Karkala, Udupi District.

Education is the nerve centre of all the developmental activities of a society and the country. Indeed the first word of revelation to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was “Iqra”, meaning “read”, which implies education. MET’s sole aim is to impart education to Muslim community, both religious and academic in Udupi and Mangalore districts for getting higher academic education, but these facilities are not available for Quranic Studies and/or higher Islamic education.

Therefore, focusing on higher Islamic education, MET has planned to establish an Islamic University in the name of Darul Uloom Al-Ma’arif, to start with, and provide high-quality of education to the younger generation, molding them into responsible community members, and thereby improving identical living standard of Muslim Community.

Aims & Objectives

To constitute committees for various disciplines for efficient management and smooth functioning of the proposed university.
To highlight the importance of Arabic language along with the pre-set Islamic education and necessary academic education.
To create an awareness with respect to the exact Islamic teachings and to eradicate the existing delusions.
To set-up research and development center for facilitating an in depth understanding of Islamic studies.
To set-up a full-fledged Islamic University.

We offer a balanced curriculum that integrates authentic Islamic knowledge with modern secular education, preparing students for success in this life and the hereafter.

Tahfeezul Quran & Tajweed

In-depth study of Quran memorization, recitation, and pronunciation.

Alim Course

Foundational and advanced studies in various Islamic sciences.

Hadith Studies

Specialized study and analysis of the Prophet's traditions.

Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh)

Specialization in the principles and application of Islamic law.

Language Studies

Mastery of Arabic, Urdu, and English for effective communication.

Computer Courses

Providing essential computer literacy and modern technical skills.
